ATTENTION - THIS IS NOT A BOOK REVIEW -
Have you ever read something inspiring? How often you find yourself inspired by a book? Well, for myself -to be honest- this was my first time ever. I started working at the book industry since 2004 and during May 2011 as I was browsing at the newspaper I read about a new book of Stephen Pressfield: The war of art. I knew he was a best-seller author but at the time I didn't know that he loved so much my country (Greece). I read his interview and I said to myself I should definitely read this book. Next day I went to the local bookstore and bought it. The exact same day I read it. And suddenly, out of the blue I felt inspired.
The moment I finished it something inside me tickled and I decided to do something about it. Stephen Pressfield writes about RESISTANCE that all people have when they are about to start doing creative things and he tries to convince us how to change that. The basic idea was this exactly.
So "the war of art" effect to me was to start organising my next career step. I was an employee at the time and I wanted to be a creator and manager of my own business. And I did it. Just like that. The next few months I created a wonderful e-bookstore, I met amazing people and literally changed completely my whole life path. I don’t want to advertise the book or my career; I just want to point that reading can really change lives as happened with mine.
